Super Drug to open found safe at 1 p.m. Thursday

Could it be gold? Jewels? Decades-old cash? Or nothing at all?

These are the questions obsessing the folks at Sandpoint Super Drug following the discovery last week of an old safe in the business building’s floor. The good news is the community doesn’t have long to wait for answers. North Idaho Lock and Key will be at Sandpoint Super Drug between 1-2 p.m. today, April 25, to crack the safe. There are sure to be plenty of curious onlookers for the event, and Sandpoint Super Drug will have a few “treats and goodies” ready for the occasion.

The mystery safe generated widespread interest on Facebook after Sandpoint Super Drug published a post about the discovery. Whatever may be hidden inside, Super Drug owners intend to restore the safe and use it as a time capsule.
