Two fires have been reported in Bonner County. Starts of unknown origin were reported at Carr Creek and Trestle Creek.

The Carr Creek start was reported around 3:30 p.m. and estimated to be about one-half acre. It was contained as of press time, with IDL, USFS and Selkirk Fire, Rescue and EMS reporting.

“It was in dense, dense forest,” said Selkirk Fire Chief Ron Stocking.

The Trestle Creek start was reported shortly after, with USFS reporting an estimated 30 acres. No other information was known at press time.

Outdoor burning was restricted in Bonner County Wednesday due to several days of warm and dry weather. A cold front is expected to blow in Thursday along with a chance of thunder storms.
