Hope Elementary School has been hosting an annual Spring Fling fundraiser for eight years now, and in that time, the event has evolved into a notably complex mashup of activities that reflect some of the best things about spring in North Idaho.
The event, held Saturday, May 18, at the school, will feature a yard sale, plant sale, bake sale and car wash. There will also be BBQ lunches and chair massages, as well as free crafts and a free bike rodeo for the kids, where they’ll go through a course of bike safety lessons.
Hope School’s Partners in Education group puts on the event, which provides funds to help PIE in supporting the school’s teachers, students and local families.
The Spring Fling will be held 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the bike rodeo will take place from 10 a.m. to noon. Hope Elementary is located at 255 Hope School Road, across the highway from the Sam Owen Fire Station and up the hill. Those with questions can call the school at 208-255-7232.
