New census data paint a grim picture of Idaho education, with the state coming in last in per-pupil revenues and next-to-last in per-pupil spending.
According to new reports from the U.S. Census, Idaho is 51st among 50 states and the District of Columbia in per-pupil revenue, the Idaho Press reports. The state ranked at $8,587 against a national average of $14,273, with Utah coming in next to last. Idaho managed to beat Utah when it comes to per-pupil spending, with the southern neighbor ranking in last place.
