McKiernan steps down as Daily Bee publisher

Last week, Jim McKiernan stepped down as publisher of the Bonner County Daily Bee, Priest River Times and Bonners Ferry Herald.

The circumstances of the departure are still unclear. We have reached out to the Hagadone Corporation, McKiernan himself and interim publisher Larry Riley, also the publisher of the Coeur d’Alene Press, for a statement but have not yet received a response. We will publish a follow-up should we receive one.
