By Reader Staff
One year after the historic 2016 Women’s March, the community is gathering to commemorate its anniversary.
The North Idaho Women’s March II, a non-partisan event that aims to harness the power of women in the community to create positive social change, and encourage women to run for political office, begins at noon Saturday, Jan. 20, at Sandpoint Middle School, 310 N. Division St. Rally keynote speaker State Rep. Paulette Jordan has publicly announced her decision to run for governor. There will be opportunities for women and men to take action on issues of education, health care and human rights. The march follows the rally. Bring friends, bring signs … and yes, men are included! Sponsored by the non-partisan North Idaho Women’s March Committee. For more information, e-mail bec3holland@gmail.com.
